Reports To

The Enclosure Foreman will report to the Production Leader.

Job Summary

The Enclosure Foreman will be responsible for overseeing the completion of the projects in the Enclosure Department. This oversight includes ensuring employee safety and productivity while demonstrating strong leadership skills. May travel off-site to conduct services.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee and ensure that all safety rules are followed at all times.
  • Produce work schedules in accordance with the availability of employees, contractors, and labor laws.
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and train employees and contractors.
  • Develop and oversee quality standards.
  • Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen quickly and amicably.
  • Read drawings and blueprints and convey this information to others.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional related training or experience required.
  • Electrical license in the state of Iowa preferred
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Understands how to read and use a tape measure and good knowledge of hand tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and well organized.
  • Ability to assist and support others.

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous speaking, hearing, and visual (including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus) effort.
  • Frequent standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and handling.
  • Commonly lifting/moving of up to 40 lbs. individually.
  • Occasionally lifting/moving 50-100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Exposure to loud noises, drilling, cutting, banging, and typical manufacturing production physical hazards.
  • Occasional warm temperatures.
  • Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing production physical hazards.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.


Must Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Electrical license in the state of Iowa
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to assist and support others
  • Physical ability to perform required tasks (lifting up to 40 lbs, standing, crouching, climbing, etc.)

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience as a foreman or in a leadership role in manufacturing/construction
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and training employees
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
  • Experience with hand tools and measurement tools
